Project in detail

01

The task

Integrate ASIC heat into the heating system of a 600 m² home in Finland while retaining control of water temperature and a dependable heating supply. Floor area alone does not establish the required heating capacity.

02

The solution

An immersion bath sized for six Antminer L9 transfers heat through a fluid circuit to the boiler. The boiler adds heat when required. Bath capacity does not prove that all six miners run continuously.

How it works

600 m² · Finland · Completed project

    Building heat demand

Explanatory heat-transfer schematic, not measured performance. Floor area is not a heating load. Bath capacity does not imply continuous operation of six miners.

ASIC equipment heats the immersion fluid; the circuit transfers heat to the boiler, which supplies the building and provides additional heating when needed. This is a thermal sequence, not a hydraulic design. Electrical connection, water temperatures, pumps and safety must be assessed for each building.

Completed work and evidence

According to the owner, on-site installation took two days; this excludes design, procurement and the full commissioning schedule. The reported immersion-loop temperature reaches 55°C, not a guaranteed tap-water or heating supply temperature. Real installation photos and video document the work.

Assessment and operating conditions

Assess heat loss, annual and monthly heating demand, supply/return temperatures and the full electricity bill. Include equipment, installation, pumps, maintenance and pool/firmware fees. Compare useful heat with the existing heating system; evaluate variable mining revenue separately. Plan backup heat, service access, fluid and leak checks, and summer heat rejection or reduced load.

Practical questions about the project

Can the ASIC installation replace the boiler?

The documented solution retains the boiler for additional heating. Miner output follows the equipment operating state; the building needs heat even during maintenance or shutdown. Heating design should therefore define the backup source, temperature control and operating priorities before selecting miners.

How should the system operate in summer?

Lower heating demand changes how much recovered heat the building can use. The design must account for reducing miner load or safely rejecting unused heat. Useful heat, electricity consumption and mining income should be recorded separately to evaluate operation across seasons.

Could this work for your building?

Send your heating consumption, water temperatures and electricity bill. We will assess the heating demand and integration requirements before proposing equipment.
